Brand New Means Brand New

SCRIPTURE:

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Brand New Means Brand New

One of the enemy’s biggest strategies to keep control of our soul is guilt, shame, and condemnation about our past, the times we’ve fallen, and the times we’ve failed. That is why it is crucial that we renew our minds to what God thinks and feels about us as His children.

When you came into the Kingdom of God, your body may not have changed. You were still fat or skinny or the right weight. But inside you were brand new! The person who did all that sinning in your past was dead. Glory to God! Now you live according to your spirit instead of your flesh. And you no longer have a desire to sin.

God isn’t going to bring up your past because it’s passed! It passed away when you were born again. The way to escape from haunting memories always begins with renewing the mind to God’s truth about you. You are forgiven. You are cleansed. He whom the Son has set free is free indeed (see John 8:56).

My friend, if you have never made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, pray this prayer from your heart:

PRAYER:

Dear God, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who paid the price for my sins, so that I could be forgiven and become a brand-new person in Him. Thank you Father that I am now Your child, and because Jesus was raised to life, I will be too and spend eternity with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
