Faith Accesses God’s Kingdom and Promises

SCRIPTURE:

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?  (Romans 10:14)

DEVOTIONAL:

Faith Accesses God’s Kingdom and Promises

The Kingdom of God must be taught for people to believe and have faith in its power.  Nothing in the Kingdom or the promises found in the Bible are automatic. They require faith in the heart of the believer. (See this week’s scripture verse.)

This is why Jesus preached the good news of the Kingdom of God  from the beginning of His ministry until the time He was taken up to heaven, “Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:14–15).

PRAYER:

Father, I receive the good news of the Kingdom of God in my heart and life. I repent over (name a sin or weakness in your life) and thank You that I’ve been set free through the blood of Jesus Christ being shed for me. I receive the Holy Spirit and all the promises of God by faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
