SCRIPTURE:

that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, (Philippians 2:10 TLB)

DEVOTIONAL:

Faith in the Name, the Blood, and the Word of God

We have faith in the Name of Jesus. The Bible says, “that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth…” (Philippians 2:10 TLB). That Name was used by Paul to cast out devils. In Acts 3:12 and 16, Peter said to the people who had witnessed the lame man being healed,“…why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?…his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong.”My point is that it is faith in the Name of Jesus that brings results.

We also have faith in the blood of Jesus. Remember when the children of Israel had to put the blood from a sacrificial lamb on the doorpost and then the death angel passed over? I received a testimony from a man who gashed his head open on a nail while working in a garage. He was bleeding and began to plead the blood of Jesus. All of a sudden the bleeding stopped. As he continued pleading the blood of Jesus over the wound, the opening closed up, and the scar went away!

The Blessing operates by faith and by speaking the Word of God. God has given you a Word for anything you may need or desire in your life. If we meditate on His Word, say and do what God’s Word says, then God will do for us what He promised. God’s Word never returns to Him void, and He is not a man that He should (could) lie. Also, His Word says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17 NKJV). That tells me that you must say it out loud to hear it. Notice, it doesn’t say, “Faith comes by having heard the Word.” Faith is always NOW.

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for all You have given us—Your Name, the blood of Christ, and Your Word. I exercise my faith daily as I receive the revelation and power in each of these three areas. My faith is strong, and I believe You will bring to pass the promises You have given me. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
