SCRIPTURE:

Yet for us there is [only] one God, the Father, Who is the Source of all things  (1 Corinthians 8:6 AMPC)

DEVOTIONAL:

Where Is Your Trust?

When you don’t see God as your source and you don’t see Him as your healer, as far as He’s concerned, you’re in unbelief. You can go to the doctor and the doctor can work with you, but who do you place your trust in? Your trust should be in God, not the physician.

It’s the same with a job. Somebody says, “Well, I’m going to live by faith and quit my job.” But, if you can’t live by faith with a job, how are you going to quit your job and live by faith? Living by faith doesn’t mean you quit your job; it means you don’t see the job as your source.

You can go to the hospital; you can go to the doctor, just don’t see them as your source. They aren’t the source. That’s why God’s raising up Holy Ghost doctors. A Holy Ghost doctor can listen to God, and God will tell him, “See, right here is the problem.”

Don’t be ashamed or afraid of what some people may think or say, “Well, I don’t know, I feel condemned going to the doctor. I don’t want any of the church folks to see me.” There’s been some unbalanced teaching on this. If you go to the hospital or take medication, that doesn’t mean you’re in unbelief. Do what you need to do. When you get full of faith…when you’re fully persuaded, you won’t even have to deal with it. You won’t have to be struggling, “I wonder, should I go or not.” No, it won’t even cross your mind.

SAY THIS PRAYER WITH ME:

Dear God, my trust is in You. You are my Source, and You are my Healer. If I go to the doctor I thank You for giving him wisdom and instructions on how to treat this condition. So, whether I go or don’t go, my faith is bringing my healing to pass. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
